Today's a day

The kind of day that you are glad to have over
Not that anything crazy happened
I wasn't about to give it much of a chance to happen
Hunkered down and worked from home today
All 11 hours of the day
And had a fabulous phone date with Julie
Watching the end of an era, an Oprah era on the PVR
Fireplace burning as the rain is falling
Wish that this Wednesday was already Thursday
To bring my love back to me
Knowing that there is devastation all around our countries
Grieving their loss and feeling of hoplessness
Yet thankful that this day finds me and my loved ones safe
Really have nothing to say
